One person hospitalized after sinkhole swallows three cars
Chicago Tribune: A sinkhole swallowed three cars in a Chicago neighborhood early Thursday morning.
One person was taken from the hole, at South Houston Avenue, South Deering, to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious-to-critical condition, according to the Chicago Fire Department.

Areas of flooding and mudslides are being reported in Iowa as high winds whip through Texas. Meanwhile, Chicago roads close and schools cancel for the day from flooding.
